BULLDOGS LOOK TOWARD WINNING SEASON

We have been told the Laurel Bulldog football team haa a good chance of winning the conference next year. An inexperienced Laurel Bulldog football team took it on the chin this year winning only two games, their last two in what coaches called a ‘rebuilding year’, the first losing season for coach Glenn Phillips.

The season was not a total loss in a rebuilding year. We have been told one of the offensive ends pulled in over 1000 yards, and quarterback Alan Lubkiecki threw for a 1000 yards. I understand the Bulldogs have a speedy back, if the blocking will open some holes, who should be a scoring threat for the Dogs.

And I understand two hefty lineman transferred in from N.J. who should open some of those holes for the running back.

Hopefully the young men will keep pumping iron and eat lots of pasta to bulk up for a winning season. Good luck Bulldogs!

The kids are buying into the program, this year we had 58 kids on the roster. Next year we expect close to 70 kids out for football. The best is in the classroom. This years TEAM GPA was a 84.7 percent, with the help of a mandatory study hall we had every Thursday night during the season..
The off season lifting program starts Dec 3rd and will be every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 330pm-530pm.

  3. I was always told the more intelligent the student the better athlete. I guess that says why I spent most of my time on the bench. Glad you’re pushing the grades.
