Barry Bonds, Roger Clemens, Sammy Sosa, all eligible for this years balloting by the Baseball Writers Association of America were shut out by the Hall of Fame this year.
The culprit, their alleged use of steroids. This is the first year since 1996 not a single player was voted into Baseballs Hall of Fame. Craig Biggio, who has a clean slate with the exception of sliding feet first into second baseman, came up 39 votes short of making the ballot.
The baseball writers say Biggio will make it into the Hall next year, and in time so will the aforementioned three. What does that say about the future of our athletes who are supposed to be role models for our kids.
If these three drug users are inducted into the Hall, I say bring on Pete Rose.
